As you may have noticed, I’ve been somewhat shirking my blogging responsibilities as of late. This is largely due to the fact that I’ve been gearing up for my very first trip across the pond.
That’s right! This anglophile is finally making her way to the place she’s been dreaming about since she saw Pocahontas! It’s the first movie I saw where people had English accents okay. Yes, they were the villains in that film (and in a lot of other places in history), but gimme a break; I was five. Ever since I first started learning about the English, I’ve become obsessed with learning everything I could about the country we abandoned.
And, now, I finally get to see it all up close — the Scottish Highlands, the hills of Ireland, the bustling hub of London — all ripe for exploring the place I’ve been romanticizing practically my whole life.
Don’t worry, I’ll be documenting my journey along the way. But, for now, I’m off to greener pastures and cooler temperatures. See you on the flip side!
